Woman sexually assaulted in Myrtle Edwards Park Sunday

Seattle Police have arrested a sex offender they believe sexually assaulted a woman in Myrtle Edwards Park  on the Seattle waterfront Sunday morning.

Several people called 911 around 11:30 a.m. Sunday saying that a man was chasing people in the park.

Officers found the victim when they arrived. Officers talked to witnesses and found the 25-year-old suspect in a parking garage near the Seattle Art Museum Sculpture Park. They arrested him and learned he had an outstanding warrant for failing to register as a sex offender.
