Bothell naturopathic physician suspended over experimental treatment

A Bothell physician has been suspended for allegedly failing to disclose to his cancer patients that their treatment was an unapproved experimental vaccine.

John A. Catanzaro allegedly didn’t disclose the experimental nature of a cancer treatment to his patients, who thought the vaccine was effective and his research was approved, according to charges by the Board of Naturopathy and the Washington State Department of Health. The charges say he failed to follow appropriate protocols for implementing cancer research, kept inadequate patient records and performed inadequate patient examinations.

He is the author of two books, “Cancer: An Integrative Approach” and “Complete by the Master’s Touch,” according to his website.

Catanzaro, who can’t practice until charges are resolved, has 20 days to request a hearing to contest the charges.
