Boy, 6, sought in R.I. Amber Alert found in Washington state

WOONSOCKET, R.I.  — Police in Rhode Island have canceled an Amber Alert for a 6-year-old boy who has been found safe.

WPRI-TV reports state police say Daniel Britt was found safe in Washington state with his mother. Details were not immediately released.

Daniel was last seen Jan. 8 with his mother, Andria Britt. Authorities had said she may have gone to Washington, where she had family members.

The Amber Alert said a court granted Daniel’s father sole custody of him, after Andria Britt skipped a court date and failed to return the boy.
