Driver suffers life-threatening injuries after rollover crash in Capitol Hill

A man had to be extricated from a truck after the vehicle overturned at 14th Avenue and East John Street around 5 p.m. Friday.
Emergency officials performed CPR on the driver at the scene, according to the Seattle Fire Department. The driver, a man in his 50s, was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Bus routes 8 and 43 are being rerouted in the Capitol Hill area near the accident area. Route 8 passengers should use stops east of 15th Avenue East and East Thomas Street or west of 12th Avenue East and East John Street. Route 48 will travel along 15th Avenue East to East Pine and into downtown Seattle. Passengers should use stops east of 15th Avenue East and East Thomas Street or west of Bellevue Avenue and East Pine Street.
