Friday Memo: Amanda Knox convicted again … ‘free’ shipping could cost you more … behind every Beast there’s a mama

Convicted again: After being convicted a second time for murder in Italy, Amanda Knox says she’s “frightened and saddened,” and that she “expected better” from the Italian justice system. Could she be extradited? Several steps would have to happen, including a formal request from Italy.

Free will cost you:  That Amazon Prime free shipping could get more expensive as the company looks at fourth-quarter profits that missed the mark.

The Beast who says the least: Seattle was the perfect place for Marshawn Lynch to remake himself into Beast Mode for the Seahawks. “I think the really exciting part of it is how he’s responded to the opportunity. He’s maxed it out, and he’s captured us, really, with his leadership and his toughness and his style of play. It’s been a beautiful thing,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said. Read Jerry Brewer’s column.

Speaking of Beast Mode, Delisa Lynch has something to say about her son Marshawn to columnist Nicole Brodeur.  And “you can believe it if it comes out of Mama’s mouth,” Mama Lynch says.
