Frolic for free in national forests, parks on MLK Day

Visitors to national forests and national parks across the Pacific Northwest will get a free pass on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Fees for day-use areas across the region will be waived on Jan. 20, including at Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest on the west slopes of the Cascade Mountains. Admission fees will also be waived at Mount Rainier and Olympic National Parks.
