Hot dogs labeled Seattle Mariners Beef Franks recalled

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota company that produces meat products says consumers should check “use by” dates and a labeling code to determine if some beef franks made by the company are subject to recall.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service says Cloverdale Foods Co. in Mandan recalled 2,664 pounds of beef franks due to mislabeling. The hot dogs were made with milk, which was not declared on the product label. Milk is a known allergen.

The items identified in the recall were “Seattle Mariners Beef Franks” and have “use by” dates of Feb. 21, 2014 and March 13, 2014. The packages are labeled UPC #7682901717.

The products were sold in Washington, Montana and North Dakota.

There have been no reports of illness from the recalled products.
