Issaquah to change name to ’12SAQUAH’ for Super Bowl

Welcome to 12SAQUAH.

That’s not a typo. Issaquah mayor Fred Butler will issue a proclamation Friday to officially change the city’s name to 12SAQUAH on Super Bowl Sunday.

“We are the 12s, and we could not be more proud of our Seahawks,” mayor Fred Butler said in a news release. “I know I speak for our entire community when I say, I’m in.”

Butler will issue the official proclamation at City Hall at 11:30 a.m. on (Blue) Friday.

No word yet on what Seattle thinks about “12ATTLE.”
