Man dies, woman hurt in West Seattle shooting

UPDATE 7 p.m.: The male shooting victim at the West Seattle disturbance has died at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle police said.

Previous post: A man and a woman were shot Tuesday night in West Seattle, during a gathering at the woman’s home, police said.

The man, in his 40s, was shot twice in the torso and was in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center, police said. The woman, 33, was shot in the hand. She also was taken to Harborview. No arrests have been made.

The shooting occurred at the woman’s home in the 9200 block of 16th Avenue Southwest. Gang-unit detectives were among those who responded.
