Man stabbed in downtown Seattle, assailant at large

A man was stabbed in the back around 8:40 p.m. Thursday in downtown Seattle, according to the Seattle Police Department.

Another man stabbed the 30-year-old male near the 100 block of Occidental Avenue South, then fled. The victim is in stable condition and was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Seattle Fire Department.

The assailant remains at large, police said. He is described as a being in his 30s, with a stocky build, black beanie hat, black jacket and blue jeans.
