Thinking about loaning your cellphone to a friend? Think twice.
Earlier this month, a man borrowed a friend’s phone while the two were hanging out in the Chinatown International District and refused to return it. The owner of the phone grew upset, and that’s when his “friend” pulled out a machete, swinging it at the phone owner’s head, according to Seattle police.
The 48-year-old victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center, having suffering “a small laceration” on the back of his head during the Jan. 2 fight, police said.
On Thursday, robbery detectives located the 35-year-old suspect. He was in the King County Jail for driving with a suspended license and failure to appear in court in connection with a theft case. Seattle police had a count of investigation of robbery tacked on to his booking sheet.
