PUYALLUP — Police  have arrested a 43-year-old man accused of stealing more than $100,000 in home appliances and construction equipment from model homes and work sites.

The News Tribune reports that police recovered items including refrigerators, microwaves, generators, shower enclosures and fireplace inserts on Wednesday when they served search warrants and arrested the man.

Capt. Dalan Brokaw says the man had been selling some items and using others.

The burglaries of model homes and homes under construction happened during the past six weeks.

Police are in the process of contacting property owners to return the items.
