The Renton Police Department has released a sketch of a man suspected of attempted kidnapping.

The Renton Police Department has released a sketch of a man suspected of attempted kidnapping.

The Renton Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of attempted kidnap with sexual motivation on Jan. 8.

A 21-year-old woman was walking in the industrial area at Southwest 21st Street and Lind Avenue Southwest shortly after 1 p.m. when the suspect stopped his vehicle in the street and spoke to her. He then parked his truck and trailer, got out and approached her. He made personal comments about her, demanded a sex act and attempted to pull her into his truck. She broke free and ran for help.

The man is described as in his late 20s or early 30s, 5-foot-6 and 180 pounds. He was wearing a light-colored zip-up jacket and a baseball cap with a green brim. He spoke Spanish to the woman.

He was driving a light-colored truck and towing a utility trailer with solid “fire engine red” sides, two large metal grate windows and a black metal grate on the rear. The trailer had small wheels and tall in height but short in length.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Peter Kordel at 425-430-7647 and reference Case No. 14-284.
