A Snoqualmie woman died from injuries after she fell while snowshoeing in the Headlee Pass and Vesper Peak area Saturday, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
Diane Larson, 36, fell at least 100 feet around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. Search-and-rescue units found Larson and stayed with her until a helicopter arrived around 7:30 p.m. and flew her to Providence Medical Center. She later died from her injuries.
The area is in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, south of Mountain Loop Highway and north of Wallace Falls.
