Sunday Memo: Seahawks on their way … Man’s hand blown off … Macklemore and the Grammys

Seahawks sendoff: Fans say goodbye to the Hawks this morning team buses pass by on the way to the airport for the flight to the Super Bowl. Fans were invited to line the 1.1-mile route on South 188th Street starting at 46th Avenue South toward 28th Avenue South in the city of SeaTac as the buses pass at 10:30 a.m. Carpooling is encouraged. Parking is available at the Tyee Educational Complex, Chinook Middle School, Bow Lake Elementary School, SeaTac City Hall, Angle Lake Park or the Sea-Tac Airport paid parking lot.

Tragic and inexplicable firecracker incident: A man in Spokane blew off his hand when a powerful firecracker exploded while he was driving a Jeep early yesterday morning.

Report released on September 2012 fatal boat collision: Canadian officials say fatigue and fog factored in the crash of two Canadian fishing boats off La Push, killing a Port Angeles man.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis and the Grammys. The duo is nominated for seven Grammys, including Album of the Year, Best New Artist and Song of the Year, the most nominations for any Seattle act and album ever. The ceremony, which begins at 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, will be broadcast here at 8 p.m. on CBS.
