Two people were killed when their car veered off a Seattle roadway and rolled, police reported.
The crash occurred shortly before 3 a.m. today, when a Ford Mustang convertible traveling north on Lakeview Boulevard East, lost control and left the road, Seattle police spokeswoman Renee Witt reported on the department’s website.
The Mustang went sideways and hit a fire hydrant, which caused it to roll onto its roof, Witt said.
Seattle fire personnel treated the car’s three occupants, pronouncing the driver and a passenger dead at the scene. Another passenger suffered minor injuries and was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
No names have been released.
