University of Washington police are alerting students to a burglary that happened last week near campus while the residents slept.

The burglary happened sometime between 1:30 and 3 a.m. Friday at a home in the 4700 block of 18th Avenue Northeast, according to a post on the UW police website.

A resident of the house told Seattle police that someone entered the home, went into several rooms and  took various personal items, including electronics, jewelry and cash.
