VANCOUVER, Wash. — Police say a man accused of driving the pickup involved in a Jan. 19 double fatal hit-and-run crash has been arrested.
Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said the 27-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for investigation of two counts of vehicular homicide, as well as three counts of hit-and-run injury and one count of evidence tampering.
Kapp said the man turned himself in. The spokeswoman said additional arrests of “individuals who have tampered with evidence or provided false statements” are expected.
Vancouver residents Raisa Mosh and Irina Gardinant died from their injuries. They were crossing Vancouver Mall Drive in a crosswalk. Mosh’s 12-year-old son suffered a broken hand.
