A motorcyclist who authorities say was driving in the I-5 express lanes at speeds nearing 117 mph was booked into the King County Jail last night.
The motorcyclist was nabbed after the evening commute when he was seen hauling northbound through downtown Seattle last night, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Chris Webb. Details about how the man was stopped and caught weren’t available from authorities.
The motorcyclist, who has not been identified, has a long record of driving offenses and has a revoked license, Webb said.
“He’s an habitual offender. He’s been nailed so many times for driving offenses he’ll probably get a few days [in jail],” Webb said.
