Death of 2-year-old Olympia girl called suspicious

The Associated Press

OLYMPIA — Thurston County detectives are investigating the death of a 2-year-old Olympia girl as suspicious.

The sheriff’s office says the girl was unconscious when help was called about 1 a.m. Tuesday to a home in the Tanglewilde neighborhood. She was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The Olympian reports the sheriff’s office is calling the death suspicious because of an indication of possible prior injuries and bruising.
