Des Moines police locate missing boy, 15

UPDATE, 10:05 p.m. | Officers have located Jonathan Ormsby, who is now home, the Des Moines Police Department said.

ORIGINAL POST | Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a boy who is missing and may be endangered.

Johnathan Ormsby, 15, was last seen around 12:30 p.m. after he ran from the Des Moines Marina, police said. He has a number of health issues and has the mental capacity of a much younger child. He was seen running east on South 216th Street from Marine View Drive.

He is 5-foot-6, 104 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. He is wearing a gray jacket, blue jeans and a black Seahawks shirt. Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 or the Des Moines Police Department at 206-878-3301.
