King County sheriff’s detectives are still trying to determine who left the body of a newborn baby last week near North Bend.
Detectives said they have followed up on several tips they received after the body was discovered on Feb. 12 but none have led them to the people responsible. Detectives today also released a photo of a burping pad that was found with the baby, hoping someone will recognize it.
The infant was found in the 38000 block of Southeast North Bend Way around 2:15 p.m. The baby appeared to have been full term and still had the umbilical cord attached.
Last week, detectives also released a photo of a faded Target brand towel that was found near the baby. Investigators have released little information about the infant, including the child’s gender.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 206-296-3311, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
