Everett police have not been able to contact or locate Roshell Turner, and an Amber Alert remains in effect for the public to help find a newborn who needs immediate medical attention.
The police department said detectives have checked several locations while following up on leads from viewers since the alert started at 9 p.m. Thursday.
The baby was born Jan. 27 in a South Everett motel room and has not received medical aid. Roshell Turner has not cooperated with Child Protective Services or other authorities, according to police.
Police say there are concerns about the baby’s safety because Turner has been known to use methamphetamine. Turner has an extensive history with Child Protective Services because several of her other children are in state custody.
Turner is described as white, 190 pounds, with brown eyes and black mid-length hair. She has a rose tattoo on her upper right chest. She frequents the Casino Road area in Everett and usually stays within Snohomish County.
Anyone with information about Turner’s location is asked to immediately call 911.
