Everett police release sketch of box cutter attacker

aaamallPolice have released this drawing of a man who slashed a second man with a box cutter outside an Everett business.

At noon on Jan. 20, the victim was smoking a cigarette outside his workplace at 909 S.E. Everett Mall Way. A man approached him and spoke briefly with the victim before demanding money, according to Everett police.

The victim told the man he did not have any money, and the man responded by slashing the victim’s forearm with a box cutter. The armed man then fled, police said.

The attacker is in his late teens to early 20s, about 5-feet-5 and around 125 pounds. He has brown eyes, black hair and a cleft lip.

Anyone with information on the attacker is asked to call the Everett Police Department’s TIP LINE at 425-257-8450, or Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at 1-800-222-TIPS.
