Tanjanique Hillis, who was wanted by police for allegedly providing assistance to her boyfriend and jail escapee Windell Downs III, has been arrested, according to the Bellevue Police Department.Hillis, 20, is in custody in lieu of $50,000 bail at the King County Jail, police said.
Downs, a 21-year-old man, escaped from police custody on Jan. 31 outside of Bellevue District Court as he was being transported from the King County Jail. He was last seen running to a car that appeared to be a blue Ford Crown Victoria, police said.
He had been jailed on robbery and theft charges with bail set at $350,000. He was wearing a red jumpsuit, waist chains and leg shackles when he escaped, according to Bellevue police.
Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911.
