Human remains found near Tacoma

A geologist doing field work southeast of Tacoma discovered a partially decomposed body this morning.

The remains were found about 8:15 a.m. in the 2700 block of 64th Street East, according to the News Tribune of Tacoma.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department said it’s too soon to determine gender or age. Investigators plan to search  databases with records of missing people, the News Tribune reports.
