A body was found in the water off Olympic Beach Park in Edmonds Friday morning.
Edmonds police were called to 200 Admiral Way around 8:50 a.m. for a report of a body in the water off the beach, police spokesman Sgt. Mark Marsh wrote in an email. Responding officers and medics from Snohomish County Fire District 1 found the body of an older man in the water, Marsh wrote.
The man, described as elderly, was fully clothed except his shoes.
“He was brought up onto land and CPR was attempted but they were unable to revive him. The exact cause of death is still unknown,” Marsh wrote.
Olympic Beach Park is located near the Edmonds-Kingston ferry dock.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of the man’s death, and will released his name once next of kin is notified.
