Officers investigate suspicious death in Everett

Police are investigating a suspicious death in Everett after officers discovered a woman’s body while doing a welfare check Friday, according to the Everett Police Department.

Officers responded to a report of a door being left open at an apartment in the 8200 block of Fifth Avenue West, Sgt. Ryan Dalberg said.

Detectives were inside the apartment at 7 p.m., waiting for officials from the Washington State Patrol crime lab to process the crime scene.
