Officers searching for missing elderly man in Skyway area

Officers are searching for an elderly man with dementia who went missing from an adult care facility in the Skyway area this afternoon, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

Camiel Dezutter, 83, went missing around 3:45 p.m. from the facility at the 12600 block of 8th Avenue South. He has dementia, does not speak and has hearing problems. He was recently placed in the facility so he is not familiar with the area.

He was last seen wearing a camouflage hat, a brown checkered jacket, blue jeans and blue slippers.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911.
