Olympia man convicted of hiring hit man to avoid paying in divorce

OLYMPIA, Wash.  — A man accused of offering $10,000 for someone to kill his wife was convicted Thursday in Olympia of solicitation to commit murder.

The Olympian reports Brian Cox wanted to avoid paying her money in their divorce.

The 44-year-old Olympia man also was convicted of a second count of solicitation to commit murder for offering money to a cellmate in the Thurston County Jail to kill an informant in the first case.
