SPD officer and sedan driver involved in crash
A Seattle police officer was injured early this morning after his patrol car collided with a sedan in south Seattle.
Around 5:48 a.m. a police cruiser driving north on Swift Avenue South, near Mars Avenue South, was struck head-on by a silver sedan, according to police. Both drivers were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries, said police spokesman Mark Jamieson.
Police have not released a cause for the crash.
