Baby injured in mudslide is in critical condition but improving

Harborview Medical Center released the following statement on behalf of the families of two victims from the Oso mudslide.

The victims are Amanda Skorjanc, 25, who is in satisfactory condition; and her baby son, Duke Suddarth, 22 weeks old. Duke is in critical condition in intensive care at Harborview but is improving, according to the hospital.

The statement:

“We wish to express our heartfelt support to our neighbors and friends who are suffering as a result of the recent landslide. We send our prayers and hope to the entire community that has been affected by this tragedy.”

The conditions of the three other mudslide victims at Harborview are:

– 37-year-old man in serious condition in intensive care;

– 58-year-old man in serious condition in intensive care;

– 81-year-old man who has improved to serious condition and is in intensive care.
