A woman avoided injury Tuesday when her car slammed into the side of the Smokey Point Motor Inn in Arlington.

The accident happened just before 3 p.m. at 17329 Smokey Point Drive, when a 22-year-old woman drove into the  building. She declined medical aid.

The Arlington Fire Department assisted building officials in installing a temporary upright to support the damaged structure.

It’s unclear why the woman hit the building.
