After receiving reports of a rifle-toting man crouched on the roof of a building at Eighth Avenue and Madison Street, police hurried to the scene and found a half-dozen people armed with rifles and handguns.
Fortunately, the only shooting going on was for a music video — one without a required city permit, according to Seattle police.
After responding to the scene around 1 p.m. Monday, officers determined the firearms were realistic-looking replicas, according to police. One “actor” was dressed in tactical clothing and a tactical vest.
The group of movie-makers had climbed a fire escape to get to the roof of the building to film the video.
The group was cautioned about the dangers of trespassing and shooting unpermitted music videos with realistic-looking weapons, police said. They were then released from the scene.
