Man suffers life-threatening injuries when struck by car in Puyallup

A man walking with his bicycle suffered life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a car in Puyallup Monday evening, police said.

The 35-year-old man was walking across South Meridian Street at 35th Avenue Southwest with two other males when he was struck by a car traveling northbound on South Meridian, according to the Puyallup Police Department. The man was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The driver, whose vehicle had a green light, was cooperative throughout the investigation. Preliminary results suggest that neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to have been factors.
