Police: Man steals sex toys from Olympia adult store

Police say a 31-year-old Tacoma man broke into Lovers package store in Olympia early Sunday and stole more than a dozen sex toys, The Olympian is reporting.

After responding to a burglary alarm at the store about 4:30 a.m., a Lacey police officer apprehended David Powell in Lacey. In his possession police found 15 sex toys he said he took from Lovers, court papers state.

Powell bailed out of the Thurston County Jail Monday afternoon, after a judge found probable cause to order him held on suspicion of second-degree burglary, according to The Olympian. Powell’s bail amount was $2,500.

Olympia police who responded to the burglary alarm found that the front door window had been smashed out, according to the newspaper. “Items which appeared to be missing from the shelves and also rummaged through, were sex toys of various brands,” court papers state.

A rock was apparently used to smash the window.
