Monorail resumes service; 5th Avenue reopens after crash

UPDATE, 7:10 p.m. | Broad Street has reopened in both directions between Denny Way and Fifth Avenue North, SDOT said.

UPDATE, 4:05 p.m. | The Seattle Monorail has resumed service and will remain open until 9 p.m. this evening.

Fifth Avenue North by Seattle Center is now open in both directions. Broad Street remains closed from Denny to Fifth Avenue North.

ORIGINAL POST | The early morning helicopter crash near Seattle Center has left several places closed.

According to a news alert on the Seattle Center’s website, the EMP Museum, Chihuly Garden and Glass and the Space Needle will be closed Tuesday.

The Seattle Monorail and Broad Street are also closed, according to the website.
