Teen fatally shot in White Center

A 17-year-old Burien boy was fatally shot in White Center late Wednesday night, according to the King County Sheriff’s Department.

Around 10 p.m. the victim and three others were getting gas at a station near Southwest Roxbury Street and 15th Avenue Southwest when they started arguing with a group at a nearby bus stop. When the victim and his companions drove by the group, one of the men shot at the car and hit the victim, who was sitting in the rear passenger seat. The driver of the car drove to the North Highline Fire Station to seek aid for the injured boy.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. He has not been identified.

Anyone with information is asked to call the King County Sheriff’s Office at 206-296-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
