Two people robbed at gunpoint in W. Seattle this morning

Two people walking in West Seattle early this morning were robbed at gunpoint.

A man and a woman were walking near California Avenue Southwest and Southwest Dakota Street just before 1 a .m. when two men approached them. One of the men pulled out a gun and the victims were robbed — at least one cellphone, money, a purse, a wallet and an iPad were stolen, according to Seattle police. The victims apparently were not hurt.

The suspects were seen running north in an alley on the west side of California Avenue Southwest after the robbery. One of the men is believed to have gotten into the front seat of a white Lexus four-door sedan with gold trim and Washington plates, according to police.

Police did not release a possible license plate, nor did they release a detailed description of the suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to dial 911.
