Woman shot at Seattle convenience store

A woman was shot last night after she pulled into a convenience store for gas, Seattle police said.

The victim, 23, and her boyfriend pulled into an AM/PM in the 400 block of 12th Avenue around 11 p.m. when she got out to pump gas, police said. As she was walking to the rear of the car, she was shot once in the buttocks, according to police.

Witnesses said a possible shooter ran west from the scene, but was not located. Police say they do not believe the woman was the intended target.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with a non-life-threatening wound.

The police department’s gang unit is investigating.
