3 more mudslide victims identified

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office identified three more Oso mudslide victims this afternoon.

The medical examiner’s office released the names of Katie Ruthven, 34; Delaney Webb, 19; and Tom Durnell, 65.

Ruthven’s husband, Shane, 43, and son Hunter, 6, have also been confirmed dead. The Ruthvens’ son Wyatt, 4, is missing. The Ruthvens had “found their dream home” along the river, “a little A-frame they rebuilt from scratch,” Katie’s father, retired Snohomish County sheriff’s Sgt. Thomas Pszonka has said.

Webb and her fiance, Alan Bejvl, 21, had been staying with Webb’s grandparents, Thom and Marcy Satterlee and planning their August wedding at the Satterlees’ property. Thom Satterlee and Bejvl have been confirmed dead. Marcy Satterlee is missing.

Durnell was known for making and selling wood furniture, his wife’s daughter, Pam Keller, has said. He retired shortly after his wedding to Debbie Durnell in 2010.
