Amber Alert canceled after Walla Walla girl found safe

An Amber Alert has been issued for Jasmine Sphuler, 8.

UPDATE, 12:03 a.m. | The Amber Alert for Jasmine Sphuler has been canceled, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. Jasmine was found and is in good condition.

ORIGINAL POST | An Amber Alert has been issued for an 8-year-old Walla Walla girl who may be in danger.

Jasmine Sphuler called a family friend Thursday and said her mother, Lizabeth Sphuler, had cut her wrists. When officers arrived at the home both the mother and daughter were gone. Officers found blood in the house.

Sphuler is distraught over a breakup and may be headed to Lewiston, Idaho, according to a news release.

Jasmine is white, with brown hair and brown, almond-shaped eyes. Sphuler, 28, is white, with brown hair and brown eyes. They may be driving a white 2005 Jeep Cherokee with Washington license plate 552WUP.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Walla Walla Police Department at 509-524-4386.
