The statewide 911 outage in the early hours of Thursday morning was caused by an unnamed, third-party vendor, according to a news release CenturyLink put out today.
The release offers little more explanation that that, saying:
The 911 outage which occurred in Washington on April 10 was not related to CenturyLink’s network, but due to a technical error by a third-party vendor. The vendor worked with our team to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
CenturyLink continues to work with the 911 centers to ensure that all issues have been resolved.
