Federal Way man playing with toy copter drowns

Police say a 74-year-old man who drowned in a Federal Way pond was playing with a remote control helicopter when he fell in the water.

The News Tribune reports family members found him Tuesday evening floating face down in Ponce De Leon Lake.

He could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.
