JBLM soldier missing; he went hiking Sunday in Capitol Forest

Officials are searching for a Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier who has been missing since Sunday night after he went for a weekend hiking trip in Capitol Forest.

Christopher Dombrowksi, 20, was last heard from at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office. A ground and air search continued Monday  afternoon.

Other JBLM soldiers are working with the sheriff’s deputies, the sheriff’s office said.
