Kirkland police dog hit while tracking suspect

KIRKLAND, Wash.  — A police dog was hit by a vehicle while tracking a suspect early Friday in Kirkland.

The dog named Thor suffered a bump on the head and was taken a veterinary clinic. He’s expected to recover.

KIRO reports  the driver was not believed to be at fault.

The suspect who was wanted in connection with an assault was found and arrested a short time later.
