An Edgewood man was killed after a motorcycle-truck collision in Puyallup this afternoon, police said.
The man, 39, was traveling eastbound on a Harley Davidson motorcycle on East Pioneer when he collided with a westbound Ford F250 pickup that was turning left onto 21st Street Southeast, according to the Puyallup Police Department. The force of the impact ejected the rider from the motorcycle, which went under the truck.
The rider was taken to Tacoma General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Witnesses at the scene said the motorcycle rider was driving recklessly and was likely speeding, police said. He was not wearing a Department of Transportation-approved helmet.
