Man’s body retrieved from water near Bremerton marina

The body of a 52-year-old Belfair man was retrieved from the water near the Bremerton Marina around noon on Tuesday, according to police.

Bremerton police said the body was spotted at 11:18 a.m between the marina and the dock for the passenger foot ferry to Port Orchard.

Preliminary information from investigators and the Kitsap County Coroner’s Office indicate the man’s death was the result of suicide, police said.
