Police release sketch of Kirkland carjacker

Police have released this sketch of a man who carjacked a woman’s car at gunpoint from a Kirkland hospital on Monday night.

At about 10:30 p.m., the victim was using her phone in her car in the parking lot of EvergreenHealth when the man approached and banged on her window to get her attention. The man was armed with a semi-automatic handgun, according to police.

He took the woman’s car, which was later found abandoned in Mill Creek.

The man was described as black, in his late 20s, about 5-feet-8 and with a medium build. His had a light complexion and a “wispy” mustache, police said.

The victim described his face as narrow with pronounced creases along the sides.

He was wearing a dark green Northface jacket, with black under the arms and white branding on the front left breast and back right shoulder. He also wore saggy bluejeans and had a black backpack with long straps hanging down. He wore large, bright blue low-cut Nike shoes.

Anyone with information on the man is asked to call the Kirkland police tip line at 425-587-3515.
