Redmond couple taken to Harborview with knife wounds

A Redmond man and wife with a history of domestic violence between them were each taken to Harborview Medical Center with knife wounds early today.

Redmond police said the woman was in and out of consciousness on the way to the hospital; the man’s condition was not known.

Police were called to a home in the Education Hill neighborhood at 4 a.m. after the 66-year-old man, who said he was stabbed multiple times in the neck by his wife, made it out of the house and contacted a neighbor.

Officers went to the home and, after getting no response, forced their way in and found the 54-year-old wife in a second-floor bedroom, with multiple knife wounds.

No one else was in the home at the time.
